Lysebu Rates and Deals
Lysebu Oslo Reviews
Good value for the money Aug 26, 2011
Hotel rates in Norway are very high, so If you want to stay in a good hotel for a reasonable amount of money, you need to look for accommodation quite far from the city center. Actually this hotel is about 30 minutes away from the city by Metro. It is quite annoying if you don't have a car, as you have 500 meters from the metro to the hotel and in Oslo rains frequently. The Metro stop is Voksenkollen in Line 1.
The place is situated in the hills above Oslo! It is actually a very peaceful hotel surrounded by nature! The room is excellent although there is no TV nor minibar. The rooms are very well decorated and very comfortable.
We haven't had the chance to try the restaurant, but it must be one of its strenghts as they have tons of prizes on the restaurant walls. They also have a wine cellar but I am not sure if its opened for the general public.
It seems to be that is a hotel very focused on business people celebrating conferences or other business events.
We paid NOK990 for a double room including breakfast.
