I've only recently been acquainted with these snazzy little travel companions. They're cool, chic, and wonderfully compact so they'll snuggly fit into your back pocket or purse. Its accordion format makes it easier to browse without having to flip through pages, where either side offers a chock-full of information on the hippest places to go that suits every budget and preference.

There're loads of suggestions if you're looking for a place to stay whether it be a high end hotel or a modest B&B. It gives you a list on where to have lunch, dinner, tea or just to get sloshed. It even has an extensive shopping itinerary for select areas. Break a nail from all that clothes fitting? There's a beauty and wellness guide as well.

Of course, no city guide is complete without a list of activities and museums to check out, just open up your Luxe City Guide and it's all there. Other useful information - medics, luggage, transpo, IT 911, event organizers, etc., etc., etc. - are all included.

Other things I love about this is how it's written so piquantly epigrammatic and printed on thick, lovely matte paper stock which ensures its longevity. And if that's not enough, it comes packaged in a clear plastic slipcase for further protection. Lovely.

Luxe City Guides are available for purchase online (sorry no Manila edition yet) and in the Philippines at Fully Booked, Firma and at Manila Cigars at NAIA 1 & 2 and cost P450 a pop.
