Lux Hotel Cala Ratjada

Hotel Lux is located near Cala Agulla Beach in Cala Ratjada, Mallorca/Spain.
It's a typical package tour hotel which isn't that expensive.
I stayed there for 8 nights in June 2009.
The rooms are typical for the area, nothing special.

On arrival the desk clerk gave us rooms on ground floor near pool area, which had the charme of a closet in the basement. So we upgraded to a better room on 6th floor (which is the highest).
Very nice ocean view from up there, but the room wasn't that much better than the first one, except for the fact that the use of that tiny 15" TV was included.
The air condition wasn't working very good, and at night it wouldn't work at all, so if you got home late at night, the room was heated up.

Staff was friendly and helpful, although we changed rooms at 2am.

As we booked all-inclusive package, we had free food and domestic drinks from 11am to 11pm.
Can't expect good quality food and drinks with such a package.

I have been to many vacation resorts, but none of those places offered that crappy food like they did!
I think this was the most annoying downside of this hotel.

Location is very nice, close to one of the beaches, pool area with pool bar was quite nice, too.
There are some very nice restaurants and bars around the area, so you don't depend on hotel catering.

If I'd get a good price, I'd probably go there again because of nice location, but not with the all-inclusive package. If you eat out, it should be ok.
