Luna (Xintiandi) Shanghai Reviews
Lively Luna Jun 18, 2011
Luna is a café, bar and restaurant opened within the heart of Xintiandi. It occupies an excellent spot at the Northern block of Xintiandi, which definitely made us choose it as our last stop for drinks, during our last night in Shanghai.
Luna actually has everything going all at the same time. It's quite a spacious bar and restaurant so if you go inside there's usually a live performance, and that being a Saturday, a live band was playing, and the place was packed. We weren't really up for that whole live band vibe that night so we got one of the tables outside the resto, perfectly lined up for those who wanted the whole casual, al fresco vibe.
I noticed that Luna had an excellent wine list, mostly comprised of French and Italian wines, but that night, I was feeling more on the cocktail side. So while my cousins went for Margarita and Tequila Sunrise, I went for their Cosmopolitan and Green Apple Martini. Their cocktails were good, and they have to be, for the price that we paid. Prepare to dish out a minimum of 80-100 RMB for a cocktail. Was it worth it? If you're with the right company, have the money to splurge a little and enjoy some people watching with the right ambience, I'd say the place is worth a try.
