Lucy's Homemade Rice Noodle House Mallacoota Reviews
Mallacoota dining monopoly failed badly Jan 31, 2016

In December 2015, we ordered Chinese Chia-Sui pork (barbecued) and Lucy's Dumplings. We did not have high expectations of the Chinese cuisine in Australia, but the food failed to make any impression on us. Maybe Australians like their local adaptation of Chinese food, but it lacked flavour and did not excite our taste buds.
We were astonished a chef in a dirty kitchen uniform served us. We had to collect salt, pepper and hot sauce from the bar. Our wine (Hunt McLaren Vale Chardonnay 2015) was cooled, but the chef placed it on our table without an ice bucket or cooler. No solution was available, only the fridge in the restaurant. The chef did not bother to fill our glasses. We had to collect our own wine from the fridge.
During payment of the bill, we noticed the greasy and dirty cash register. Looking around, the kitchen was dirty too, including the staff. Luckily, Chinese food was stirred fried at very high temperatures, killing the zillion bacteria investing their ingredients. In Mallacoota, go elsewhere where food safety is no issue or go to the shop and prepare your own food.
