Oh sad sad times! Today is my last day in Luzern. Tomorrow I head back to Zurich and then fly out to London. It's been a bit crazy the past 2 days. Summer has really come to the party and made it a really nice time.
So in my travels I have seen many mountains and completed many challenging tasks. I now say pfft to the Eastern Suburbs! I've climbed two mountains and a hill. Go suck on that! I can take on any Australian "hill" any day! Though I do hope all that walking and climbing has do...

We went straight away to Pilatus, hoping to take the furnicular to the top, but way too early in the season...while it looked fine from the ground, the track when going up the mountain was still snowed in, so we had to head back to the city for the cable car ascent...
...And what a...

Oh no!!! Steph got my bug!!! So after only a few hours of sightseeing together, I had to do most of Lucerne on my own. We saw The Lion Monument dedicated to the Swiss who died in the French Revolution, and also wandered over the Chapel Bridge built in 1333. After an interview with a local newspaper on our travel adventures...it was then curtains for Steph!!
The next day I went and saw the Glacier Garden (an area that was discovered in the last century) and proves that Lucernce was once cove...

Switzerland is a great place and was a nice experience.
My wife and me have visited Basel, Lucern and Engelberg, so we should go back because there are many other places we are interested in having a good time.

I was in that state of "zombie-phoria" again due to the less than appropriate amount of Zs being stacked last night. I dawdled out of Balmers after all those good-byes and wandered through Interlakens shopping centre looking in the windows as I went. There were some great carvings I would have loved to buy, and probably would have if I wasn't brassic. Even though I was half dopey I was very aware that I had to watch my Francs. I decided some snaps of the ...
