Lovers Point Park Pacific Grove Reviews
Wonderful park and beach Jul 20, 2016
Lovers Point Park is only a few short minutes drive from the Monterey Bay Aquarium. If you're on foot or have rented a bike follow the bike path south and enjoy the wonderful view.
There's plenty of 2 hour parking along the road and a smaller lot right by the entrance. There are plenty of things to explore, two obvious ones being the beach and the park. You can also climb the rocks or just sit in the soft green grass of the park (yes, this is worth mentioning since it is rare to see green grass in this area unless it is part of a golf course).
The beach is PERFECT for little children who may get scared by big waves like my little guy does. He had a blast throwing rocks and sand into the water and even dipped his toes in once or twice. The water is pretty cold though since it is the Pacific.
We spotted a little pool open for children to swim in for a small fee. I believe it was $5 (in 2016). You can buy snacks at the kiosk.
There are some picnic tables and even charcoal grills under the large trees in the park. Bring a blanket and enjoy the view.
As you can tell, I really recommend checking this place out even if you decide to continue toward Asilomar or Spanish Bay. You won't regret stopping for a minute or five. ;)
