Lourdes is a town situated on the foothills of the Pyrenees in Southwestern France. This town is famous for an apparition of Mary, mother of Jesus to Bernadette Soubirous here in 1858 and the waters near the Cathedral are reported to have healing powers.

5 Million pilgrims a year descend on Lourdes to seek healing or... If you want a rosary, you can find one here in a shop that sells nothing but rosaries. If you want a Pope-soap-on-a-rope, they sell that too.
