Cooter Brown's is a few miles out of the French Quarter but rocks like its on Bourbon Street. Great TV set up with large flat panels everywhere, good beer selection from 2 bars, and terrific yet inexpensive cajun food. Plus its in N.O.L.A. so feel free to get a to-go cup for your adult beverages.

If you are looking for a great place to eat that embodies all that Louisiana has to offer Connie's Restarant is it.
A little over 20 years has turned Connie's from 7 table patio diner to a place of about 20 tables family size. Personality seeps from every corner and on every table. Beauti…

This is a great place to try different types of new orleans cuisine. Not too exspensive for the area. If you like fried foods then Mother's is heaven from fried chicken to Po'boys (a sandwich with fried fish and hoagie roll) Many locals eat there. Great place to share a table with a stranger and jus…

Emeril’s Delmonico is located on historic St. Charles Avenue in the Garden District of New Orleans. If you’re staying in or around the Garden District, I recommend traveling to and from Emeril’s by street car. It’s an awesome ride that tours St. Charles Avenue, past major attractions like th…

I 1st learned about Drago's when I 1st visited New Orleans back in 2003. Every time I make it to the Big Easy I plan at least one meal at this classic seafood jewel. If you go, you have to try the chargrilled oysters. The best oyster dish ever...bar none. Trust me, order at least a dozen!

The servers were really nice and accommodating when 17 of us rolled in. Then another 5 people came in our party and the service was still great.
All I can say is that I had the Jambalaya and practically ate half of my husband's crawfish etouffee.
We couldn't help ourselves but to buy some of t…

Can't decide which notable New Orleans restaurant to dine at? Go to Melange at the Ritz Carlton. The menu is comprised of selections from various area eateries, including Jacque Imo's, Arnaud's, Restaurant August and Upperline, as well as some original dishes.
We started with Melange's own Demi T…

We ate here twice on our four day trip to New Orleans. The restaurant itself is not "classy" but you won't regret sitting down and having a look at the menu. There is something for everyone. I was still on the hunt for a good Po-Boy sandwich, since I knew my best friend wouldn't lie to me and say th…
