I think our public library system is one of the most convenient, undervalued and underutilized resources around. I tend to get my textbooks from here as they have a wonderful online requesting system. Simply request, direct to your closest library, and pick up in a few days. Today was my first time studying at this library and I was astonished at how huge, well laid out, and beautiful it is.
Any library can be clean, modern and bright. But this one has so much history, much like the rest of downtown Los Angeles. The building, fixtures, courtyard and galleries are such reflections of early Los Angeles. Walking around 2 of the 8(?) floors left me awe inspired. This is a must visit if you're downtown! |
