Lorne is a small village of about 1000 residents on the Erskine River on Victoria's Great Ocean Road. Popular with tourists in the summer months, Lorne comes alive with its range of restaurants, hotels, rental homes, and beach activities. Its proximity to Melbourne (about 2 hour drive) and Geelong (1 hour drive) adds to its high volume of domestic tourists.
Lorne also offers a range of natural wonders to take in aside from the beach. Wallabies abound in the region north of town. Erskine Falls is a nice detour from the town center. And the Otway National Park is also a short drive away.

Lorne is just down the coast from Melbourne. It is on the Great Ocean Road and has very beautiful scenery, from forests to waterfalls to beaches.
