Camping in Comfort May 08, 2012
Booked a eco lodge which was a huge safari tent built over a hill with added structure and insulation on the sides. Felt like a studio room in a tent considering the furnishings and amenities included. For people that are looking for a camping experience but still be comfortable. They also have a few cottages which would accommodate more people. I think they did quite well with this concept of faux-camping.

Positive: The owners live on the property and are very helpful and accommodating. There is also a Yabby dam and you will also see a few wallabies/kangaroos running around the property. A barbeque is also provided if you decide to buy alot of food along the Great Ocean Road and Harvest Trail. Town of Lorne is also only about 5 minutes drive away with nice restaurants/cafes.

Negatives: it can get quite cold and the portable heater only helps to an extent therefore I would recommend booking this type of accommodation only in the warmer months. Caution is also required if arriving by night as the property is dimly lit and it is all dirt tracks. Accommodation is also not sound barrier proof.
