Loreta Praha Prague Reviews
Even pilgrims lived life royal! May 22, 2014
Mark this as one for the books...I loved it!
Loreta is a large pilgrimage destination in Hradčany, a district of Prague. It consists of a cloister, the church of the Lord’s Birth, a Holy Hut and the clock tower with a famous chime. Everything about this place was amazing. The walk down the public staircase with the amazing statues, the grandiose entrance, the carvings, everything! You pay extra for pictures but it's worth it (and it's not a lot!). I loved the decorations in the mini-prayer hall in the centre of the yard and the re-creation of the cellar and the dark chambers on the top floor.
Plan for about 1 hour here and it's totally worth it. Surprisingly a lot of people don't visit here given its proximity to the Castle. I wonder why!
