Lords Hotel May 28, 2011
the rooms are very small, the bathroom is bellow average because of its size.

the location however is excellent, near Nothing Hill on one side and Hyde Park on the other.

there's a supermarket and souvenir shops real close to the hotel.

the area around the hotel is nice and quiet and you really feel what its like to live in London.. until you get to your room any way.

there's no elevator so if you're planning to stay there, pack light.

Luckely I could sleep in the main building Oct 12, 2009
The hotel is okay. When in main building you'll have your own bathroom and tv. Main building? Yes, the hotel is located in two buildings. The main building is the one you'll find at the site. The second one is at least 300 yards from the main building.

In this main building you'll find the 'restaurant' in the basement. So you'll need to climb down a small set of stairs every day. Not suitable for people who can't walk up or down normal stairs.

The food is okay, tops, you'll get a glass of milk, orange juice or a cup of thea. The ladies don't seem to like their work, or they've gotten out of bed too early every morning.

Not suitable for families since there are only bunkbeds. Clean and when asked you'll get extra towels. Cleaning every day, but not very well. You can get a set of extra keys, but reluctant.

TV-channels are UK or England only. But I couldn't find the BBC... I did find the English MTV though.

The hotel is located in the Southwark district, on walking distance of two metro stations, a Coptic Orthodox Church and Hyde Park.

Hey Hector, thanks for the congrats. I don't know what the price was per night... but shouldn't be that much since everything in the hotel was... just above poor or average at best. Only the matrasses were okay...

Filthy trap under the guise of affordability Aug 02, 2008
I think I had been drinking, or maybe daydreaming too much when choosing this one. Wouldn't go there again... Let me explain: you take the cab going to what seems to be a wonerful Victorian building, fully restored, with nice rooms at an affordable price.

You arrive, finding out that it's a shambolic place, with practically no service, little (well, more like gnome-sized) rooms, with decrepit walls, an airplane-style toilet and shower, and, on top of it all, the saddest breakfast I've seen in ages.

All-in-all, I wouldn't reccomend it to anyone
