Quaint little hotel in Gamla Stan, Stockholm Aug 04, 2008
The best value for the individual traveler in Stockholm's Gamla Stan (old town) is definitely The Lord Nelson Hotel. It's on the main pedestrian only street in Gamla Stan. So, it's location is in the middle of everything in the old town. Great cafes are everywhere. Ferries to the other islands are a short walk. The staff is friendly and are multi-lingual. There is a decent breakfast and free computer usage in the library on the second floor. The decor is ...well.....as if you are on a boat. It's quaint...beadboard and portholes in the rooms. I will stay there again.

street that runs through Gamla Stan. The hotel is five meters wide,
seriously. We somehow came on the right night and got the room at the
