Lookout Mountain Vacation Guide
The Town of Lookout Mountain, Tennessee is located at the top of the mountain at the northern most point. It overlooks the Tennessee River as it goes around Moccasin Bend, as well as Chattanooga, Tennessee. Lookout Mountain was a key position of the Confederate troops during the Civil War and the Union Charged up the mountain in the battle that was known as The Battle above the Clouds. There are four main attractions for visitors, Ruby Falls, Point Park, Rock City and the Incline Railway. Ruby Falls is an underground 150 foot tall waterfall that is an amazing sight to see. And the stroll through the cave to get to it is a wonderful experience also.
