A favorite with the locals Apr 12, 2009
Longhi's is a restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. There are 2 locations on Maui (Lahaina and Wailea) and 1 location in Honolulu at the Ala Moana Mall. It's on the top floor of the mall, overlooking Ala Moana beach park. Large folding windows offer obstructed views and the tropical breeze flows through the restaurant. I love the atmosphere at Longhi's.
Appetizers are mainly seafood. Mussels in Marinara, Steamed Manila Clams, Calamari Frito, Zucchini Frito and Grilled Portobello Mushroom are some of the appetizers. They range in price from $10 up to $22 Various salads can be ordered as can several types of fresh vegetables. There are many pasta entrees such as Lobster Cannelloni, Scallops Marinara or just a simple Bolognese pasta. There are over 10 different pasta entrees and they average $23. Plenty of seafood on the menu. Salmon Mediterranean, Prawns Amaretto, Lobster Longhi and island fresh fish in a variety of preparations. Average seafood price is $35. Meat. Steaks are Filet Mignon, Rib Eye and New York. You can also have lamb chops, chicken, veal porterhouse and veal prepared 4 different ways. Average meat price is $38. Longhi's has won several awards for its food, extensive wine list and service. No surprise to me. They are well deserved. |
