A cool place to meet people and party Aug 14, 2011
I stayed here for 4 nights, as a girl travelling on my own I thought this would be a cool place to stay for a while and meet some interesting people, I was not wrong! There is a small bar where people gather at night and chatter/share stories then carry on to Long Street for the after party, many places to sit and eat/read/watch TV and just chill out too. The kitchen is large and well equipped with cooking utensils.

The room I stayed in was a little dorm with 2 bunk beds, there was a door inside leading to another room and around the corner is another bunk bed and a shower room. The dorms are clean and comfortable.

I'm already looking forward to returning!

Cheap and Cheerful Sep 11, 2007
Long Street Backpackers is located in the centre of Cape Town, it is really close to a few cool bars and clubs! I went volunteering in South Africa for a month and we went into Cape Town one night clubbing so we decided to stay in Longstreet Backpackers. The room was cool, there was 6 of us staying there in a dorm. The beds were bunk beds and the room was clean enough. I was a bit freaked out because I woke up the next morning with a cat lying next to me! I hate cats...It was about €15 each, which was really cheap, there was a little bar in the hostel where we met some cool people who we went and partied with :)safety deposit boxes were behind the bar so we could leave our passports there so it was cool!
