The journey home was uneventful - the same as the journey out, but in reverse, and with a mercifully shorter stopover in Moscow. As before, I really enjoyed the delicious meals provided by Aeroflot. Finally came the anticlimax of a bus-ride from Heathrow to Croydon and then another bus home, where …

Ok there are officially 53 days left until I get frisked at the airport by an over zealous security guard. Not that I'm counting... I realise that knowing the exact amount of days till I leave, particularly when it's over 50, is a little bit geeky and overexcited but sod it I am overexcited (and pe…

I was up the entire night, sleeping maybe two hours because my room was like a sauna (and it smelled like dirty socks which I couldn't figure out- it smelled that way when I arrived). I just laid there until the alarm went off and had a quick breakfast before the meeting. The meeting or…

So, all good things MUST come to end. Or do they? The idea was for me to wake up early, for a good walk along Earl's Court to see the V&A Museum and the Natural History Museum which were about 20 minutes walk according to my Aussie roommate Chris. But for some reason, I was feeling tired and no…

Paris in the summer was beautiful and life changing. I could walk around the city and take pictures of random buildings for hours. The architecture is stunning. Sitting at a sidewalk cafe drinking wine and eating olives in the afternoon was a treat, along with stopping by every pastry shop that I saw for a chocolate eclair ... mmmm ... guilty pleasure!

I loved the UK so much that I went back again this summer (this is my first time to London). The English are incredibly friendly and polite, and the history is AMAZING! If you have time to do a day-trip, I would highly recommend Windsor Castle. It is absolutely breath-taking.
