So my friend and I get to London early in the morning ready to explore the city and find out why London is so famous. When we got to the airport, we wanted to exchange dollars and euros into pounds. The thought the exchange rate was ridiculous! We ended exchanging only 75 dollars and we got 3…

Loved the UK so much I had to go back again for another dose. Did the same things as last time (be sure to check out that blog's pics because I'm not going to be repeating them here). Only difference is that this time I also went to Hampton Court. I would definatley recommend it as a day trip to get out of the hustle and bustle of London if you have the time.

Flying British Airways we arrived at Terminal 5. Also here everything went smoothly. Holding a EU passport immigration was done in seconds. When I got through, my bag was already waiting at the conveyor belt. WOW! I´m impressed. Since London Heathrow always seems to have construction work going on…

I've discovered that double-decker buses hurt when they hit you. I'm kidding, I did NOT get hit by a bus but I did have a great close encounter with one today. It's odd that the only thing keeping me from getting really comfortable in this city…

We returned to London, and were picked up at the train station by my old friend Stephen and his wife Emma, who had been out of town during our first pass through town. It was so great to see them!
We headed back to their flat, which had a lovely view of the Thames; they were right on …

Although the meet up was actually on the 19th, this blog will be for the whole weekend that was dedicated to the meet up. On the Friday night after work I went to meet up with Ruby (2win) and Alex (robbo_88) at Tottenham Court Road tube station. We headed to the flat where we got to meet Paddy and …

Well our vacation is over! We are sitting in Heathrow waiting to find out what gate our flight will be leaving from. This is one of the busiest (if not "the" busiest) airports in the world. It is so busy, they didn’t even know what gate we were going to be boarding at…and that was 2…

Third day in London and M and I planned to cheer up this busy and depressed city (they looked depressed to me!). I noticed since my arrival that people barely smiled. And even when I smiled at them, I rarely got smiles back, sometimes I would even get strange looks as if smiling was …

I took a plane from LA to London, then London to Accra, Ghana. It takes about 11 hours to London, and another 7.5 to Accra. The best meal on British Airways is the Asian Vegetarian meal. They serve a relatively good Indian meal, complete with chapati and a sweet dessert. …

The Journey ThereI had booked a seat on the Megabus about a month before leaving from Preston to London (the return journey only cost £7!). The bus left Preston at 05:30 so it was a very early start. I arrived at the Victoria Coach station in London at 11:00 and having had the last 5h …

The British Humanist Association were giving a conference on “Darwin, Humanism and Science”, so I nipped over to London for the day to see Richard Dawkins, Luke and Shyla. By strange coincidence (or was it?) it was the same day that Lydia had tickets to see Britney Spears putting on a show, so …
