I love the tube! It is the best can pretty much get anywhere you want to be in London. It`s friggen amazing!! Even though it`s so awesome and I love it, it still sucks!! If your travelling during peak period be prepared to get up close and personal with strangers, get really hot, and get pushed and shoved. Also it`s very expensive and runs rather slowly during peak hours. And the lines all close at 12 or 1 which sucks for partying lol. All this bad stuff and yet I still love it! Anyways here are some tips I have learned while being here and would be good for first timers to London so that you don`t look like a complete tourist when you get here haha.

1) If you have lots of bags don`t try to go through the little gates, go to the side and get to guard to let you through the large door. (Speaking from experience!!!)

2) On the escalators stand on the right only and let others pass on the left, or walk on the left if you are in a hurry.

3) When walking through the stations, keep to the left.

4) Hang on if your standing!!

5) Keep your bags and purses closed and be cautious of what`s in your pockets because people will try and pick-pocket when it`s busy.

6) Get an oyster card, totally worth your while! Plus discount on the buses.

7) Don`t stop right outside the station to try and get your bearings or to look at a map, walk to side and then stop so that people pass.

8) Don`t try and sneak onto the train when it`s about to leave...chances are the doors WILL shut on you.

9) Walk fast if you don`t want to get pushed and shoved...people in London are always in a hurry.

10) It`s really hard to try and skip the fare so don`t even try, it`s really not worth it. 20 plus pound fine and there are ticket checkers out there!

Hehe so that`s all I can think of for now..if you got any more tube tips feel free to add 

If your in London the chances are you will have to use the Underground or the tube, The facts of it are, it is hot, stuffy and it's cheaper to buy a car than travel on it!!!

I suggest buying an Oyster card for £2.00 and then using it for single journeys, single journeys are £4.00 rising to £6.00 for zone 6. most of the sites are zone 1, so there is no need for 1-6 travelcards!

Also never travel during 6-9am as it is unbelievably crowded, try and travel off peak, you will also notice people are as rude as anywhere in the world, and they will happily barge and push you to get on the train so watch out for pickpockets especially around Picadilly, Oxford Circus
