London Is Awesome
London Is Awesome Reviews

I travelled to London with 20 of my friends. It was a blast I had the time of my life!! Now I am 19 years old, so first things first we were excited that we were of legal age to drink. So we stayed at a really nice hotel called St. Giles, located right in central London. The rooms were your typical smaller sized European hotel rooms. The hotel had a fun and hip bar located on the main floor. They also offered free breakfast every morning. Right near the hotel there was access to an internet cafe as well as a supermarket. Also less than a mile from St. Giles was Oxford Street, where there was tons and tons of shopping!! If you go down about a mile there is the famous "Top Shop" its like a 3 or 4 story store filled with clothes and accessories galore. It is like Forever 21 on steroids! Actually, I found it almost overwhelming. Bring lots of money though. London is very expensive, the American dollar blows in in the UK. At night there are lots of clubs and pubs to go to. We went to this small little pub near the hotel called The Jack Horner Pub. It was fun, rather small, and the food there was really good too! Another night we went to a club called "The Zoo" also a smaller club but it was really fun, 2 floors- the bottom floor had the house/electro or whatever type music with the lights and the top floor had more pop music.
Food: Well, before we got to the UK, everyone had always mentioned the food being bad. Honestly though, I did not have a bad meal there. You must try their famous "fish n chips" it was delicious!
Sight Seeing: *Tower of London- really neat
* National Gallery- if you like art galleries
* Tate Gallery- really cool modern art there!
We were also there in June and saw the Trooping of the Colour- the Queen's birthday celebration parade. Yes, we saw the Queen as well as Prince William!
Basically, if you have any hesitations about traveling to London because there are so many cities to see in Europe, I know. But, I absolutely had a blast there. If you are the cosmopolitan type, there is so much shopping, sight-seeing, pubs, nightclubs etc., you won't be disappointed. Just be prepared money-wise, it is very expensive- so save up!
