A little piece of home :) Dec 17, 2012
London court is a little piece of home :)

London court is a little retail area of old English style buildings :) it runs between Hay Street Mall and St Georges Terrace, Perth, Western Australia.

It has an amazing London sweetie shop with sells everything from tizer, wotsits, pot noodles and real chocolate (haha only the English will understand)

There is also a large amount of shops selling ugg boots for some reason ?

Also check out the entrance on Hay street on the hour, a clock chimes and just look up! its pretty cool :)

check out my photos :)

A little bit of London in Perth Jan 10, 2011
London Court is a three- and four-level open-roofed shopping arcade located in the central business district in Perth, Western Australia.

Built in 1937 by a wealthy gold financier and businessman, Claude de Bernales for residential and commercial purposes.

The distinctive mock-Tudor/Elizabethan fa├žade and architectural features includes ornate entrances with large wrought-iron gates at each end. At the Hay Street end at the first storey level, a large clock chimes every quarter-hour, half-hour and on the hour. Four mechanised knights appear from a castle door and move in a semicircle each time the clock chimes as they apparently joust with each other. At the Terrace end, another clock in a window shows a miniature Saint George doing battle with the dragon.

London Court is in the heart of the CBD, free, beautiful, and well worth a visit.
