L'olivier Romain Saint-Siffret Reviews
A comfy and quiet accomodation Aug 26, 2011
We slept 2 nights in the room Romarin of this friendly guesthouse of only 4 rooms, located in the heart of the old village of Saint-Siffret,5 kilometers south-east of Uzès.It is owned and managed by Martine and Guy,an helpful and generous couple in their (late)fifties.
It is well located 10 minutes drive from Pont du Gard,30 from Nîmes, less than hour's drive from Camargue,Arles and the sea.
The room was spotless clean with a very comforaytble bed,a radassier,a typical Provençal seat,a desk and a closet but no safe,no TV and no minibar.
The bathroom was convenient with some toiletries.
The breakfast was gastronomic with homemade jams, cakes, joghurt and fresh delicious bread and croissants not forgetting the fresh fruit salad and the traditional fruit juices.
The pool 9m x3,40 because of the bad weather was not appealing.
Two cons:first because of many stairs, this guesthouse is not suitable for disable persons.Secondly the wifi did not work in our room and was very weak in the patio and downstairs close to the pool.
I got a friendly discount on the rate(usually 110 euro with breakfast for one night,95 euro/night if you stay 3 nights).
