Logan's Roadhouse Fresno Reviews
Slow on a spring Monday night, but good food. May 05, 2011
This is a casual dining restaurant chain, with a bar in the center. The menu features over 50 entrees, including aged steaks, hand-cut fresh on premises, grilled chicken, fresh-ground steak burgers, baby-back ribs, seafood, & specialty salads. They consider themselves as moderately priced, but I felt prices were slightly higher than that. We made our first visit to this well established location late on a Monday evening, well after the usual dinner hour. There was no wait in fact it was quite empty. I would have to say that only about ten customers appeared to be eating meals, and another half dozen were at the bar drinking. Our waitress was pleasant and gave us a couple of minutes extra to read the menu. After looking over the menu we decided on having a 6 ounce filet mignon which comes with your choice of two sides. The listing of sides was about a dozen items and a few more were available for an extra charge. We decided to have a side salad and baked potatoes for our sides. The salads were fairly large and nicely cut and served in an open bowl with our choice of dressing served on the side as we had ordered. They served 4 fresh rolls in a basket with a small cup of butter. Unfortunately, the rolls had been brushed generously with butter over the entire top which made them quite slippery and messy to pick up or handle. The baked potatoes were on the large size but nicely cooked with heavy salt on the skin and butter served on the side as requested. The steaks were quite small when first seen, but they were about 2 inches thick so the six ounces were probably there. They were nicely cooked to our medium-rare order and very tender.
In preparing to write this review I check the internet for other reviews and comment on the restaurant and this location. The reviews varied from very poor to “better than most”. I was quite pleased with our meal and the overall experience. I felt the food was quite good, the service was average, and the price was just above average. We may return here or try other locations of Logan’s Roadhouse.
