Good BBQ near Massanutten Sep 18, 2010
A good sign of a restaurant is when there are locals there eating. Their claim is that they smoke all their meat on the premises and that their side dishes are made from scratch daily.

They have sandwiches (regular pork BBQ, north carolina pulled pork, beed BBQ, and hot dogs). They serve salads (side, taco, crispy chicken, and pork). Their dinner plates include regular pork ribs, pulled beef, saucy vinegar ribs or ribs in a dry rub, chicken tenders, or smoked sausage. The dinner plates include 2 sides (cole slaw, potato salad, french fries, cajun fries, mac and cheese, green beans, or baked beans).

They also sell ice cream and pie. They sell a variety of jams, inclusing the norm-like apple and plum. They also sell green pepper jam, but I'm not sure what that is. For a city slicker like me, I am tickled by the other items they sell like apple syrup (what happended to maple) and a small variety of candies.

You can order BBQ by the pound, a family pack, or a party platter. If you are staying at the Massanutten Resort or are campng nearby, this is a good spot to get BBQ. The dinner plates are $7-$12 and they have a seperate children's menu.
