Loftus Hot Springs
Loftus Hot Springs Reviews
Loftus Hot Springs Aug 23, 2008
Don’t go to these springs on a weekend, they will most likely be packed! These springs are very popular, for good reason. Someone put a lot of work into making these springs great. The pool is made of rock and mortar, even has built in benches. The temperature is wonderful, not too hot but not too cold!
The only down side is how popular this place is. The parking area is a huge dusty dirt hole and often ‘trashy’ people are camped here. Also, I’ve heard there is poison ivy near, so keep an eye out. If you head over to enjoy these great springs, please do your part to keep it cleaner than when you got there! Bring a trash bag just in case, thanks! Getting there: From Atlanta take the Middle Fork Road (268) about 34 miles downstream (1.7 miles past past Pete Creek). You’ll see the huge dust dirt parking area at mile post 34.
