Loews Hotel New Orleans

booked through a seperate website for the friday and saturday of easter weekend. later i called hotel and verified they had my reservation. sure no problem. called while driving to new orleans and requested late check in. sure no problem. walk in and was impressed with the lobby. go to the front desk i'm sorry we dont have a resevation for you. huh? well here's my reservation number. sorry cant find it. desk clerk asks, "are you tina___" first off i'm male and thats not what i said my name was 90 seconds ago. well tina___ called and cancelled the two rooms that were reserved. okay so you let someone i dont know call in and cancel my room? yes they did

apparently we have the same last name. she had two rooms i had one. when she cancelled her two, one of the ones cancelled was mine. fine fix it so i can go to my room.

i walk in the room the lights and radio are on. looked warm and cozy and honestly i felt like i'd made it home. the bathroom was standard but nice and had good shower pressure. i like that.

loews is across the street from harrah's and the aquarium is on the other side of that. i didnt have a problem walking to bourbon. it didnt seem like all that far of a walk. i walked along the main street for a 3 or 4 blocks i guess and turned right for another 3 or 4 towards the quarter. i realize it may be far for others especially if you're female wearing high heels.

the parking fee is 35 per night. they said guests vehicle are parked inside. there's self parking lot next to the hotel. i cant remember the exact numbers now but it essentially worked out to about a $1 per hour ($12 at a time tho). machine doesnt take bills larger than a 10 but does take atm/debit and credit cards. i noticed a guy sitting in his car. asked him to change a 20.(really just wanted to see what he was up to. maybe watching for cars to break into) turns out he was off duty police doing lot security.

i'd stay here again no problem.
