Loews Coronado Bay Resort Reviews
wonderful stay at luxurious hotel Feb 15, 2013
The forerunner of Lowes Bay resort was built in 1985 by Josef and Lenore Ciltro, Cays residents. The hotel changed hands and was opened as a Lowes luxury resort in October 1991. Lowes has maintained a special relationship with Cays residents, offering neighborly discounts in restaurants and other services.
Totel is situated on the Strand between Coronado and Imperial beach. Hotel has a separate exit from Route 75.
A quiet and relaxing place. Without having a car you will feel isolated.
The rooms are spacious and comfortable and all of them with a balcony overlooking pools. A very nice Keurig coffee machine in the room, ice-machine in a coridor.
Our bathromm had a shower and a bath. Lots of soft towels, robs. Pet friendly.
WiFi will cost you additinal money. Complimentary WiFi is just in lobby area.
Parking 25 $ - underground parking right under the residential building (there are 5) you are staying in and take the elevator up.
Right across the road- Silver Strand Beach. You can walk or ride a bike between the bay and the Pacific Ocean. The hotel has 5 restaurants, 438 rooms and suits^ and an 80-slip marina. There are 3 tennis courts, 3 swimming pools, and a SPA and fitness center. Provide evening gondola ride.
Breakfast is not included.
The staff are amazing. Everyone was exceedingly friendly from arrival to departure.
Great place to have meetings, conferences.

Gorgeous island resort Jan 16, 2010
This is one of my all-time favorite places to stay. San Diego is gorgeous year-round and this hotel definitely takes advantage with beautiful pools and balconies in every room.
The rooms are spacious and decorated in a laid back beach style. Beds are incredibly comfortable and bathrooms are large and luxurious.
I only had breakfast room service, but was mightily impressed. The granola is the best I've ever had and has a mountain of fresh berries atop it.
As it's a resort, there are shops and restaurants present on-site, but the nearby town of Coronado and San Diego offer a multitude of options. The beach is a close walk through a tunnel at the edge of the grounds that goes under the highway.
Staff is friendly and willing to help you get wherever you want to go.
