Chosen by Forbes as one of the top resorts in the world, and a top ten North American destination by Ski Magazine, Vail ski resort has over 5200 acres of trails, 31 ski lifts, and a peak elevation of 11,570 feet. Online lodging prices range from $109 per night for two adults at Lionshead Inn to $1000 per night at the luxurious Christie Lodge during the month of December. Dining options include French-American gourmet restaurants, casual eateries, and a coffee house. Families can participate in tubing, snowshoeing, and nature walks. Vail also has spas and shops in the area, and for those who love the nightlife, there are a variety of bars for after-hours socializing.
