Lodge Buffet Reno Reviews
expensive mediocre food Sep 05, 2008
we opted for the buffet since the cafe in the hotel seemed pretty high priced for what they had to offer. (I really wanted to get out of the hotel and go to a local restaurant but due to time contraints, we had to stay in the hotel)
We had lunch on Friday for $10.99 a person. I think the price jumped to about $16 or $17 a person for dinner.
Upon entering the buffet, you seem to be transformed into a new place - you stepped out of a casino right into a country lodge! There's a seating area near the casino floors and then there's a somewhat enclosed area near the buffet stands and the decor included a stone decorated fireplace.
The food was decent for lunch. Nothing to brag about. They offered a good sized salad bar. A pizza area. Italian, Asian, and American. Sad to say, I think my favorite was the stroganoff!!
Hopefully their dinner selection is A LOT better than the lunch! The service was typical for a buffet. They take your plates when you're done eating.
I actually enjoyed feasting on the decor than on the food!!
