This is the place i was born. A special place. Lochem has also a lot of Parks and old houses. For example near the Oosterbleek. Underneath that road there is a canal, but it is running under the houses. Thats why some houses subside. The centre of Lochem is tiny but sweet. The old church in the centre is build and rebuild for 7 times. When they dug up the church they found several basements. You can find the Gedula, also and old building, the nons were running it. If you follow the road Barchemseweg you see on your left hand De hoge Enk Road. It lead you to a very nice house. It is designed by my fathers grandpa. They call it the ENK. If you follow the Barchemse weg you will enter Barchem than follow the road on your left to go to Zwiep. Here you wil find a farm which is very strange. You see all strange witches. It is very famous in Lochem. In holland we call it "de witte wieven" Translated the white woman. They turn up in the night to scare you. You also can find an old building looking like a castle "De Cloese" This was used for policeman to be. In the surrounding of Lochem there are a lot of castle's. In Diepenheim lived the mother of Prince Bernhard, my grandfather was her family docter. This area i realy good for byking! And walking of course!
