A delightful village Sep 01, 2010
If you take the ferry from Oban (Scotland) to Craignure on the Isle of Mull and take the main road left to the Ross of Mull -towards Bunessan and Iona - you will find a road on your left after a bit leading to Lochbuie. It's a very small village with the UK's smallest Post Office but there are several reasons for going.

The first is the beauty of Lochbuie itself, set against a coast of small sandy beaches and rocks. Going to your right (west) there is a walk all along the coast to Carsaig Arches. We only went a short distance but it was fabulous and we stood watching otters swimming for several minutes.

Going the other way, you come quickly to a delightful Church of Scotland building which you can enter and beyond t to the castle of Moy, described on the website.
