A pretty, quaint hotel in a quieter section of Venice Sep 25, 2003
We stayed at this hotel shortly after it opened for business in 2003 and we got a great introductory rate. I believe the rates have since gone up.
The location of this hotel is unique and off the beaten "tourist" path in the section of Venice called Dorsoduro. It is much quieter here but still a great location since you are close to many attractions including: the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, the Santa Maria della Salute Church, the Accademia Bridge, the Galleria dell'Accademia (Academy Gallery) at the foot of the Accademia Bridge, as well as a waterbus stop. The owner's of the hotel were very friendly and eager to help with any questions we had. They recommended restaurants and attractions to us and pointed each out on the map to be sure we could find them. The room was a pleasant Venetian style with a double bed, desk, minibar and armoire. The bathroom was nice and clean with all necessary amenities. A tasty continental breakfast was included. This hotel has air conditioned rooms and allows small pets.
