Getting around in Lhasa with trishaw Mar 23, 2009
The Tibetan are honest people, we will never need to be so protective when we are around them, unlike the Chinese, we always, always need to be careful and protective agaist them because they will cheat you any where, any time and any opportunities they can. Travel around in cities of China is very stressful because you have to be very sure to have a fair deal before you get on any transport.

Getting around in Lhasa with trishaw is fun.
We took trishaw around Lhasa and it was always the same price ( a 5 minute ride is CNY10, we even got it for CNY5 one time!) Well, there was one old man tried to get more but we knew the price therefore we just walked away. You can hail a trishaw almost everywhere, of cause you have to ask for the price before you get in. Almost all the trishaws were decorated with bells, so it rang all the way to your destination.
We enjoy so much when riding with the trishaw, we didn’t even get on a cab for once!

There were also a lot of cabs around the town but we had not experience it so I can’t comment on the cab in Lhasa.
