Overlooked by Castell Dinas Bran - Llangollen is a small touristy town in Denbighshire, North Wales. The river Dee runs through the middle of the town and there is a railway situated by the bridge that crosses it.
It has a population of almost 3,000 although it can be busy during the summer months as people sunbathe on the banks of the river or come to the International Eisteddfod which hosts modern and classical performers from all around the world.
Valle Crucis Abbey is just one of the sights of the town and it is possible to be pulled along the canal in a horse-drawn barge in the summer months.

Not a very exciting exhibit, and it's really hard to get a good angle to take a picture of the bridge. I think I could have got one, by going into the railway station and taking one from the platform. However - no way am I going to start taking pictures at a railway station.Geographical location:…

Valle Crucis is a 13th century abbey which lie's in green fields beneath Llangollen's
steep sided mountains. The setting is lovely and even has a campsite outside it's grounds.
