Llandudno Wales UK Dec 12, 2017
Llandudno in North Wales United Kingdom is the largest seaside resort in Wales. It is a grand Victorian resort, smart and tidy with a beautiful bay between the Great Orme and Little Orme on the Irish Sea coast. There is a Victorian Pier that hugs the land before out to sea.--- In summer there is a cable car and Tramway that goes to the summit of Great Orme. The broad Promanade lovely for a stroll. There was a tour bus of the Orme even in November.-- Around town are statues of characters from "Alice in Wonder land ". The main street, Mostyn street as shops with covered walkways.Plenty of Eating places in town.---Llandudno rail station is at the end of a branch line, you may have to change at Llandudno Junction a 10 minute ride. Llandudno station still uses semaphone signallng and manual signal box. The ticket office is part time. There are toilets and waiting room--- Buses leave centre of town in Gloddaeth Street for Rhyl,Colwyn Bay, Bangor and Betwsycoed etc.---Information signs are in Welsh and English. I had a lovely pizza at Johnny Dough 145 Mostyn Street and great fish and chips at Barnacles 7 Mostyn Street.,also scone and cream at a traditional tea room in Mostyn Street opposite Barnacles.-- Llandudno has kept its Victorian and Edwardian charm, is a all year round resort.---I know i was there in November, but hotel prices do seem cheap.

Nice, typical seaside resort, I'd say.

Amazing Victorian seaside town Jul 18, 2011
Wander around this fantastic seaside town and see all it has to offer. A Victorian peer, the longest cable car run in the UK, a dry ski-slope, fantastic shops and a very elegant and up-market feel to this beautiful town.

My favourite place in the whole world and possibly the most peaceful too is Heulfre Gardens (prenounced Hoil-vre) ask the locals - some know it's there, some don't. Those who do will smile knowingly and tell you how to get there.
