Amazing panoramic peninsula Apr 29, 2011
A secret back water - almost an island, girded on three sides by the sea and the fourth by the meandering waters of the Helford river, only a tiny land bridge connecting to the rest of Cornwall. There is everything to explore from golden beaches to pebbly coves, dramatic cliff tops to still rivers and creeks full of bird life. Freshwater lakes, open heathland, fabulously hued Serpentine rock outcrops and gardens full of sub-tropical plants warmed by the Gulf Stream.
