The town of Livingstone is Zambia's closest outpost for visitors wishing to see the Victoria Falls. Livingstone is Zambia's tourist capital, although it hardly looks the part. Vic' Falls is a few kilometers from Livingstone but from the city centre you can see the mist during the rainy season. Livingstone has a mix of posh 4 star resorts and backpacker hostels to meet most budgets. Bus and Airport links exist from Lusaka and other major cities of Southern Africa.
