Little Round Top Gettysburg Reviews
The Rocky Hill called Little Round Top Jul 11, 2012
Our guide took us up to a rocky hill known as the Little round Top of the Gettysburg battleground. This point marked the end of the union lines while the battle ragged on. It is recorded that it was at this point that the union soldiers, half the size of the confederates, fought to the death against over 5000 confederate soldiers.
It was a bloody fight but the union soldiers lost only 565 soldiers in comparison to the 1185 soldiers killed, wounded and captured or missing in action.
