Little Hanoi Hotel Reviews
Your home away from home Mar 31, 2009
This is a great hostel to my opinion. I stayed here for 5 nights in total and I haven't regret it for a second.
The staff are the nicest really, very friendly and helpful and always so enthusiastic and welcoming. They're the nicest people I've encountered in the whole of Hanoi. I stayed in the dormitory room which has 6 beds, air con, fan and ensuite bathroom. Beds are comfortable and the room is also clean and has big lockers and enough space to store your luggage. Breakfast is included and so is coffee and thee, all day round. There is ZiFi in the rooms and computers in the lobby, also free of charge. The private rooms have a pickup service but the dorm rooms have not though. This place is right in the center of the city. Not next to the lake but on a 5 minutes stroll from it, in the old quarter Chicken street or Hang Ga (number 48). Beware because there are other hotels around with the same name though. I'm definitely reviewing the one in Hang Ga street. This is, for me, one of the greatest places I stayed in on my Vietnam trip. I would absolutely stay here again whenever back in Hanoi! The tour I booked here was nice as well although from what I've heard, I wouldn't recommend them for the Halong bay trips. In short, a lovely clean place with nice beds, quiet rooms (very important in noisy Hanoi) and good location, the friendliest staff and a great hostel to meet people! Highly recommended! By lunch time I discovered this really good sidewalk eatery just a few steps away from the hotel. I got so curious about what the guy was BBQing, that I had to try it! Man, that lunch was the best lunch I've had in Hanoi! After freshening up and a little rest at the hotel (my feet were really killing me by this… Back In Ha Noi |

Our final hotel (the Little Hanoi Hotel) was again excellent - very clean with great room facilities and friendly staff - accomodation standards for us as "backpackers" on a world trip have been consistently excellent.
We were staying in the "Old Quarter" of Hanoi, although it didn't feel… Hanoi-ing! |

) we were dropped at a little hotel who were really freindly, told us where to eat and gave us maps. its right in the french quarter....lots of colonial architecture, millions of mopeds and crusty french bread. the hotel was great until this morning, when we realised how vociferous vietnamese… Far East Tour begins |

The room is good but the hotel a little run-down and is on Hang Ga one of the busier streets in the old quarter.
After some welcome rest we breakfast and walk through the old quarter of the city, more to get our bearings than to see anything… Summer of '69 |

…like to say that the scam where the taxi driver picks you up from the airport to your hotel (which is actually a different hotel) is a little bit worse than we thought.
We told the taxi driver numberous times that we wanted to go to Van Minh hotel. He said that he understood. When we got to the hotel, it had no name. We asked again… Welcome to Vietnam. How can I rip you off today sir? |
