It says in the guide book that between April~May is the perfect time to see the garden in full bloom. I went to Keukenhof Gardens on a layover in Amsterdam, had a few hours to kill before my flight. I heard that it was the last day of the famous keukenhof gardens so I decided to check it out. Unfortunately, they cut pretty much ALL the flowers at the stem and therefore the entire side trip was a disappointment.

What is Holland famous for beside cheese, mills and wooden shoes? Indeed, flowers and since it's now the season that they're flowering, I went out today with my camera to share these oceans of color with all of you on Travbuddy.

Wow... these are some old old photos of my very first trip to Europe mixed with a trip with my mum for grad research. The quality is pretty bad as I've had to scan them from hard copies, but c'est la vie.
