New Year, Old Year

My first big trip. It was little bit too much spontaneous and disorganized but finally everything ends good. I just lost my cell and somebody stole me 100€ (which where half of all my money)... just ;), but nevertheless I really enjoy the trip. I believe that the next one will be more lucky.

Only 8 days but it was excellent time for me! I left my heart in Portugal... and I'm going to learn Portugues!!!

Well Lisboa was great last time, so I'm back here with Paul to discover it in more detail and meet up with two friends from Germany I also met in Barcelona.

Travel just for fun together with my sister and my best friend Tone. Once or twice a year we choose a City to visit and this time we went to Lisbon.We just loved this city :-) and we will return as soon as possible. It was our first visit to Portugal but not the last one :-). The people here is very , very friendly and they speak english very well.

What originally brought me to Lisbon was The Optimus Alive festival, with headliner Rage Against the Machine. Other than a fantastic rock festival, I discovered an area so enchanting with astonishing natural beauty, which took my by surprise as it's seemingly outside the usual euro tourism radar. Incredible coastlines, classic moorish architecture, stunningly lush mountainous forests, delicious seafood & warm weather with deep blue skies. Yep.

EOS 2007 Lisbon

This was a bithday gift for my boyfriend. He loves bikes, and then tickets for Moto GP in Estoril was perfect. We also had some days in Lisbon, and had a great time together.

A chronicle of the 3-4 months I spent travelling around Western Europe over the summer of 2004. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed the experience of it.

I studied Spanish in Salamanca, Spain while going on a few weekend trips on the Iberian Peninsula (including Lisbon, Portugal). However, halfway through my trip, someone accidentally dropped my camera when taking a pic for me (T_T) so there aren't much pics for some places I went to. That's ok. Memories count the most. =) Journal entries are from my travel diary I brought with me during my trip. =D

I'm so glad I got to see Lisbon again. I was there for the first time in 2002, and I fell in love with the whole city. The seven (?) hills, the pretty houses, the fado, the seafood, the views.. Just a few days in one of the many locations my company has offices! I managed to cram my camera in and find a few hours to go walk ... Next time I will add some more of my route I planned and take a few more pictures .... I was also limited due to some thunderstorms that stopped me getting out and about!

I love Portugal!!

On june 25. England where playing against Portugal in the quarter finals. We had purchaised the tickets six months earlier, so we where in luck to be at this match witch turned out to be the most attractive one in the whole championship. We where actually offered 1000 Euros for each of our tickets …
