In a perfect world with no flight cancellations or delays, and where someone could hop from plane to plane within 15 minutes, how many countries can a person visit in the shortest possible time? Here's one possibility using July 2006 timetables.

My professional volleyball life took me this time to Portugal to play for a team in the island of Pico. Scary at the beginning because from living in a city of 9 million people I had to spend 9 months in a village. But it was a wonderful experience where I met great friends and the natural scenery blew me away every day.

Here you can watch the course of my hitchhiking trip to Spain. Starting the 1st October I plan to arrive in Barcelona around New Years Eve. From there I want to work and travel around the country in order to learn the Spanish language and get to know the people and their culture.
