Downtown Lisbon to the beach Aug 19, 2014
It is a bit of a journey but you can take the metro to a bus which brings you to the beach outside Lisbon. It is calls Costa Da Caparica. Leave about an hour each direction. You will travel by bus through a working class town but I felt very safe there.

It is a typical shore town with shops, food stands etc. And if you're interested, you can pay for the mini train to take you to the nude gay beach. Its beach 19. But that's another20 minutes or so.

down town lisbon Nov 17, 2012
Lisbon one of the most beautiful cities in Europe and have unique style between Arabic Andlucia style,European style,Latino Style and Portugal style. Walk in the Down Town

very nice especially at night.

The Center of Lisbon commercial heart of the Downtown Lisbon area it full of shops restaurants,Bars, selling everything from flowers to souvenirs.

From Baixa you can walk to impressive Praca Commercio with great views of the river and the boats crossing or my favorite area Avenida most beautiful area of shopping in Lisbon it full of fashion shops.enjoy in atmospheric Castle and Alfama districts. or interest in alvaro barretoā€¸ the music district.

Almost walk all the historical center and explore many streets . The neighbors many and a lot of interesting.

take care from pick pocket.

Walking in the city ! Mar 06, 2011
Lisbon is full of interesting areas. Downtown Lisbon joins the old to the new, the traditional and the post modern. Walking in many areas around the city

The Baixa was built to be the new commercial heart of the Downtown Lisbon area after the city was devastated by the Earthquake of 1755 . It remains an imposing district, with elegant squares, cafes, and shops. Old tramcars, street performers, tiled Art Deco shop fronts, elaborately decorated pastry shops, and street vendors selling everything from flowers to souvenirs, all lend a special charm to the area.

At the opposite end of the Baixa is the impressive Praca Commercio with great views of the river and the boats crossing it. East of the Baixa are the more ancient atmospheric Castle and Alfama districts.

Almost walk all the historical center and explore many streets ! The neighbors many and a lot of interesting

Many uphill and downhill but if like walking you must try ! And of course recommended by me because many things to do and see !

Also a small tip about your safety , many strange peoples will try to talk you , just ignore them :) It happen everywhere to every city in the world !

Some photos to have a look !
