Where the White House staffers grab a burger after work Mar 30, 2009
Lindy's is a dive, there's no doubt about it. It is a Washington relic, but has remained hidden from the tourist world. It's only a 5 minute walk from the White House.

Lindy's is home to about 20+ types of burgers with everything from guacamole to fried eggs on top. They also have the best onion rings in town and they are one of the few places with cheap beer.

Locals tend to stop by after work or for a quick burger during lunch. It's a tiny place that doesn't seat more than 40. It's full of random knick-knacks relation to Washington and is staffed by the original Washingtonians.

Justin; Sounds like a great place... after living in the EU I really miss a good burger from the US.
