Lindau (a town and island) is located in the Southern part of Bavaria at the Eastern part of the Lake Constance. It is situated near the borders of Switzerland and Austria.
The historic city of Lindau is located on the 0.68-square-kilometre (0.26 sq mi) island which is connected with the mainland by a bridge and a railway dam. The little island of Hoy also belongs to Lindau.

Drove down from Northern Germany to spend a couple of days visting a friend in the Austrian town of Lustenau.
