Lindale Farms Travel Reviews

A wonderful experience.Owned and run by Roger and Linda Lebert who built the house and tend the working vinyard,it is set on a hillside overlooking the beautiful grounds and valley below. It is spacious and those that desire privacy will have it with the private suite that is available. Many of the textiles in the house are made by Linda who quilts and crochets among many other crafts. The hospitality is impecible and the conversation is often lively around the table but it is a working vinyard so the proprieters when not making an excellent lunch or dinner for their guest are working the vinyard- which you can request a tour of.
The food is amazing. I awoke each morning to fresh mint tea- which they grow and dry and make themselves and amazing gewurtztraminer (a type of grape) jelly and pancake syrup. There were fresh pies each day and I am sure I gained a few pounds but it was well worth it. My first experience with rhubarb pie... and I am hooked!
The area is known for its grapes and wine and there are 17 wineries in the area which you can visit on your own (have a designated driver!).
It is walking distance to the town and 3 minutes to Fairview Mountain Golf Course and 5 minutes to Inkameep Canyon Desert Golf Course.

Great photos and review! Sounds like a fantastic getaway retreat. Besides, any place that bakes fresh rhubarb pie is #1 in my book :-D
