The Cathedral city of Lincoln is one of Britain's prettiest cities in the North. It has a fantastic cathedral, which gathers many visits from all over the country, and indeed the world, but the cathedral is not the only attraction. There is also the Lincoln Castle and the Jew House, the oldest building of this city. History is in abundance in this city and there is also a large street market for the more traditional shoppers.

The town's nightlife is largely student orientated as the University student population is high in proportion to the city numbers of younger drinkers and clubbers.

Lincoln attracts many of its tourists in the summer, but also during the second weekend of December when the Bailgate area of the city holds its annual Christmas Market in and around the Castle grounds. The market is based upon the traditional German-style Weihnachtsmarkt as found in several German cities, including Lincoln's 'twin town' Neustadt an der Weinstrasse.
