Lincoln Financial Field Philadelphia Reviews
Watch Eagles Fly Sep 20, 2009
Also known as “the Linc” to locals, this football stadium is home of the Philadelphia Eagles, as well as home of the Temple Owls college football team. Located in the Sports Complex in South Philadelphia.
The stadium opened in 2003, replacing Veterans Stadium, which has since been torn down. It has also hosted soccer games, Army-Navy game, and concerts.
As far as getting tickets to an Eagles game, forget it. Tickets sell out very quickly. Best bet is go on Ebay or Stubhub, but expect to pay a lot of money for it, way above face value.
A much cheaper alternative is taking a tour, which takes you to the field, Eagles locker room, press box, club and suite boxes.
But being here for a game is a great time, as the place is rocking, and the fans are very passionate about their team. After all, Philly is considered an Eagles town. Just don’t wear the opposing team’s jersey, or expect to be harassed by the crazy fans. :)
Especially fun is singing along the fight song with the rest of the stadium. Just in case, the lyrics goes like this:
Fly Eagles fly,
On the road to victory,
Fight Eagles fight,
Score a touchdown 1, 2, 3
Hit ‘em low, hit ‘em high,
And watch our Eagles fly,
Fly Eagles fly,
On the road to victory.
This review will mostly have photos from the tour, while the blog entry have mainly ones from the game I went to.
